  • Honest diapers - they run a little small but are soft, flexible, no leakage, and come in lots of cute patterns! I have an Amazon subscription for them, and you can also find them at Target and other stores. These aren’t TCF (total chlorine free), which are the cleanest option, but they are ECF (elemental chlorine free). We tried Kudos diapers for a while (which are said to be the least toxic option) but my daughter ended up getting a rash. Not sure if it was a coincidence, and they did give me my money back for the unopened packages, but we went back to Honest after that. We also use the night-time version overnight.

  • Honest wipes - these have better ingredients than many wipes (no fragrance, parabens, alcohol, or plastic) although they do contain sodium benzoate. We tried some of the “cleaner” wipes out there and were disappointed. The Honest wipes are perfectly thick and come out of the package one at a time instead of getting stuck together - a VERY important factor if you’ve ever changed a blow-out diaper before!

  • Active Skin Repair spray - I think the best diaper rash remedy is breast milk (it cures everything!), but if that isn’t an option, this spray works wonders. It is natural, non-stinging, and mess-free. It can be used for all sorts of cuts and skin problems for the whole family since it contains the same active ingredient that is produced by our white blood cells in the healing process! FYI: don’t spend too much time trying to decide whether to get the regular, kids, or baby version; they are all that same, just labeled differently for marketing purposes and so people know it is safe for the whole family.

  • Pipette baby wash - gentle and unscented wash for baby's hair and body.

  • Honest lotion - soothing, gentle scent.

  • Earthley Good Night Lotion - makes your child smell like a pencil according to my husband and helps settle them for bedtime as well as relieving aches and pains.

  • Miss Mouth’s stain remover - make sure to wet the stain before spraying this to get the full power and it will get out the toughest stains.

  • Think Baby sunscreen - a little thick but rubs in without leaving a white film on the skin. 50 SPF zinc oxide mineral sunscreen.

  • Boka toothpaste - nano-hydroxyapatite, fluoride-free, swallow-safe toothpaste in a fun, kid-friendly flavor.

*I will write a separate blog post about medicine and products related to sickness.
